Christmas colour-by-code maths puzzles
Solve each fact, colour the square by its answer and a Christmas tree or star appears. Choose the operation and difficulty to suit your class, then print. Every click of New problems gives fresh facts for the same picture, and Show answer prints a coloured key.
Solve each box, then colour it using the key. A picture will appear!
Teacher tip: when you Save as PDF, name the file after the drawing (e.g. βColor by number, Treeβ) so you can remember which picture it makes, then print that one for your students.

Christmas puzzles FAQ
How does colour by code work?
Each square has a maths fact. Solve it, find the answer's range in the colour key (for example 11 to 15 is green), and colour the square. When every square is coloured, a Christmas tree or star appears.
Is there an answer key?
Yes. Tick Show answer to colour every square by its correct answer, then print that as the key. The answers are worked out in code from the facts on the sheet.
Can I get a different sheet for each student?
Yes. New problems gives a fresh set of facts for the same picture, so neighbours cannot copy, and the picture still comes out the same.
Is it free?
Yes, free to print or save as a PDF with no login.
