Each booklet prints on A4 and comes with an answer key that is computed in code, never guessed.

What is in each booklet

  1. Warm up. Number facts from the same generators as our year-level worksheets: making 10 in Foundation, times tables in Year 3, decimals in Year 5.
  2. Christmas stories. Word problems for that year's number content, such as sharing cherries, packing Christmas crackers or percentages off in the Boxing Day sales.
  3. Money, time and measurement. The school Christmas stall, carols timetables and ribbon for wrapping presents.

Every section names the Australian Curriculum v9 Mathematics code it practises, so it drops straight into a Term 4 program.

Using them in the last weeks of term

  • A calm, maths-rich activity for the week of the Christmas concert or class parties.
  • Revision before end-of-year reports, with the answer key for quick marking.

Christmas maths FAQ

Are these Christmas maths sheets written for Australian classrooms?

Yes. They use Australian year levels (Foundation to Year 6), dollars and cents with prices in 5c steps, metric units, 12-hour am and pm time and 24-hour time, and an Australian Christmas in summer: cherries, mangoes, carols by candlelight, beach cricket and the Boxing Day sales. Each section lists the Australian Curriculum v9 Mathematics code it practises.

How do you make sure the answer key is right?

No answer is typed by hand or written by AI. The warm-up questions come from the same procedural generators as the rest of the ChalkBee library, and every Christmas story problem picks its numbers first and then computes the answer from those numbers in code. Our automated tests re-check every story answer against its own sum before the site is published.

How long does each booklet take?

Each year has three pages of about 8 to 12 questions: a warm-up, Christmas story problems, and a money, time or measurement page. Most classes take a double lesson for the whole booklet, or one page a day in the last week of term.

Can I get a different version for another class?

Yes. Every year page has three editions with different numbers and the same skills. Each edition always prints the same questions, so a whole class can work from one.

Is it free?

Yes. Every booklet and its answer key is free to view, print or save as a PDF, with no login.
