Maths fluency packs

Straight, single-operation drill for building fast, automatic recall: addition, subtraction, multiplication, division or a mixed set, grouped by grade. This is the plain repetition worksheet a teacher reaches for once a skill is understood and just needs to get faster, not a mixed review or a staged learning program.

Why straight-drill fluency practice

Understanding an operation and being fluent at it are different milestones. A child can work out 7 × 8 by reasoning it through, or can just know it. Fluency, fast and automatic recall, frees up working memory for the harder parts of a word problem or multi-step calculation instead of it being spent re-deriving basic facts. Straight, single-operation repetition (rather than mixed review) is one practical way to build that automaticity once a skill is understood.

Every worksheet is generated in code and its answer is computed, never written by a language model, so the marking key is never wrong. Nothing here is a new kind of worksheet: each pack curates real addition, subtraction, multiplication, division and mixed-operation sheets that already exist in the library, grouped by the grade where that operation is typically the fluency focus.

Want multiplication as a staged learning program instead of straight drill? Try Times Tables Bootcamp. Want a mixed spiral review instead of one operation? Morning work covers that. Prefer a custom sheet on any topic and grade? Generate one.

Frequently asked questions

What is a maths fluency pack?

Focused operation practice: many problems of one kind (addition, subtraction, multiplication or division), plus a separate mixed set. It is useful when a class understands the operations and needs repetition to build speed and automatic recall.

How is this different from morning work?

Morning work deliberately mixes topics for spiral review, a few questions from several skills each day. A fluency pack does the opposite: it is one operation, repeated, for a class that already understands the skill and needs to get faster and more automatic at it.

How is this different from Times Tables Bootcamp?

Times Tables Bootcamp is a staged, multiplication-only program: skip counting, then one table at a time, then mixed practice, then division. Multiplication fluency packs here are the plain drill version, straight mixed multiplication problems with no staged sequence, useful once tables are already being learned.

Are the answer keys correct?

Yes. Every question is generated in code and its answer is computed, never written by a language model, so the marking key is never wrong. Answer keys are a Pro feature on each worksheet, matching every other page on the site.

Which grades are covered?

Each operation curates a specific, curriculum-typical grade range rather than every grade the underlying topic technically supports, so the pack matches where that operation is usually the fluency focus.
