CCSS HSF-TF.A.3 Worksheets

Algebra 2 · Trigonometric Functions

Use special triangles to find the exact sine, cosine and tangent of π/6, π/4 and π/3, and use the unit circle and reference angles to evaluate the functions at any special angle across all four quadrants.

Below are free printable worksheets that support HSF-TF.A.3. Print them as PDFs, or generate a fresh one. Every math answer key is computed in code, so it is never wrong.

Teaching guide

What students learn

Use special triangles to find the exact sine, cosine and tangent of π/6, π/4 and π/3, and use the unit circle and reference angles to evaluate the functions at any special angle across all four quadrants.

Worked example
Evaluate sin(210°). Give an exact value.
Answer: -12
Why: Reference angle 30°, so the magnitude is 12. 210° is in Quadrant 3, where sin is negative, giving sin(210°) = -12.

Generated and checked in code, so it is correct.
