Perimeter of 2D Shapes
Find the perimeter of each shape, using the properties given (equal sides, or the overall dimensions of an L-shape).
- 1.A regular hexagon has 6 equal sides, each 22 cm long. Find its perimeter.
- 2.A regular pentagon has 5 equal sides, each 8 cm long. Find its perimeter.
- 3.A regular heptagon has 7 equal sides, each 4 cm long. Find its perimeter.
- 4.A kite has two pairs of equal adjacent sides: 6 cm and 12 cm. Find its perimeter.
- 5.A kite has two pairs of equal adjacent sides: 19 cm and 14 cm. Find its perimeter.
- 6.A parallelogram has sides of 7 cm and 20 cm (opposite sides are equal). Find its perimeter.
- 7.A parallelogram has sides of 10 cm and 19 cm (opposite sides are equal). Find its perimeter.
- 8.An L-shaped room has an overall length of 20 m and an overall width of 10 m. A rectangular 5 m by 3 m section is missing from one corner. Find the total perimeter (the distance all the way around the outside) of the L-shaped room.
- 9.An L-shaped room has an overall length of 24 m and an overall width of 13 m. A rectangular 11 m by 6 m section is missing from one corner. Find the total perimeter (the distance all the way around the outside) of the L-shaped room.
- 10.An L-shaped room has an overall length of 30 m and an overall width of 11 m. A rectangular 10 m by 3 m section is missing from one corner. Find the total perimeter (the distance all the way around the outside) of the L-shaped room.
- 11.An L-shaped room has an overall length of 22 m and an overall width of 26 m. A rectangular 4 m by 11 m section is missing from one corner. Find the total perimeter (the distance all the way around the outside) of the L-shaped room.
