The number of people at a school fair is 360, correct to the nearest 10 people. Write the error interval for the true value, n, using inequality notation.
Answer: 355 ≤ n < 365
Why: Rounding to the nearest 10 people means the true value could be up to half of 10 away from 360 in either direction (half of 10 is 5). Lower bound = 360 - 5 = 355. Upper bound = 360 + 5 = 365. Error interval: 355 ≤ n < 365.
