Pythagoras' theorem
What the teaching sequence covers here
Verify that side lengths of a right-angled triangle satisfy Pythagoras' theorem, use the theorem to find the hypotenuse from the other two sides, prove it, for example by rearranging four identical right-angled triangles into a square, and generate new Pythagorean triples by scaling a known triple.
